Wednesday 12th - Yew Poisoning 2 Sheep Dead, remaining 17 Moved to Centeral Compartment

Hi All,

We found an addional sheep dead, along with the other known one. We found browsing on the ewe trees which are very poisonous to livestock. We've moved them into the centeral compartment to get them away from the trees.

Signage to to updated soon.

We came across two live sheep within the yew compartment. These may have consumed Yew, so please keep an eye on the remaining 17 sheep in the centeral compartment. If they have consumed Yew it should act fairly quickly. We couldn't see any signs of ill health when we moved them and the majority of the branches in the enclosure had already been grazed by the previous unfortunate sheep.

Thanks very much for keeping an eye on them.

Please report any problems to our out of hours oncall system: 01962790544

Listen until the voicemail and there will be a mobile number of the member of staff on call. Same number as on the Livestock signs.

Please disregard any personal phone numbers you have, as the member of staff may not be oncall.

Thank you
Grazing Team
