Sunday 25th May
Tim & I wardened the down today. Roses & orchids beginning to flower. The orchid in the photo was in the central compartment, I think it is a Greater Butterfly Orchid. As it had rained the night before we only saw very few Common Blue butterflies & a Cinnabar moth. Plum pudding looking untouched. Small amount of litter in the Gypsy Swing dell. Gate no 13 not clicking shut. Pippa Evans

Saturday 11th May
The Downs looked beautiful in the late afternoon sunshine, especially the cowslips. All looked ok. No litter, no fly tipping, no burnt-out cars either and no campfires on Plum Pudding!! Only a little cutting back with secateurs was needed along the paths. The only thing we spotted was a beech tree branch that was hanging on by a thread by the first gate (13) onto the Downs.
