We spent time walking all 4 perimeters of the Eastern compartment and into some of the interior which was navigable. Sheep were evident reasonably near the two water troughs adjoining Redman’s land. There were 26, all of which looked to be in good order and happy. The remainder were somewhere in the middle, we presumed, and really not easily accessible. We viewed the area from all angles and from height but could not find those missing 19. It was hot and sunny, so expect they were sheltering in the cool in the undergrowth.
We cleaned the water troughs of muck and a dead bird and the supply system is functioning. We met no-one else within the Compartment with or without dogs. Found no litter. The bolted gate at the SE corner of the Eastern compartment is not marked with a number. The bolt does not meet the catch so although it’s a "kissing gate" style it cannot be secured.
