22 October
34 Shetland and at least 14 white faced eventually found after nearly two hours. They were very widely spread over the northern post of the compartment. I find them in the Hawthorne next to the northern fence, in the lower section of the woodland around the large fallen tree, at various points in the slope within the woodland up to the track, and on the northern slope. there was also a lot of movement making counting inaccurate, especially when done from inside the wood. Gates all okay food third full or so no workers dogs whatever seen. I picked up some litter and rope swings in the woods have seen recent use so I guess children have been playing, but I didn't see any harm done.
