Sunday 28th July

 Visited the Down this morning. Hot. We heard some childish voices but saw no-one else up there. Water trough full and one side of the trough looking very clean. Gates all closed. We saw only 13 sheep, despite vigorous food container rattling. 11 white ones and 2 streaky ones. They all looked in the best of health. Was it so hot that the others couldn't be bothered to move?

    All 39 sheep counted, none limping.  No other issues noted, no dog walkers. Feed is however running low.
