If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure: Call the office on 01489 774400. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly. NOTES: Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call. If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed. Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact. Thank you!

Monday 6th July

 Found all 45 sheep after a lot of searching :-

25 were  on the top of the downs near the SE gate or in the nearby bushes/trees.

8 were straight down near to the yew enclosure

6 were near the NW gate and the (full) water troughs.

The other 6 were in the SW corner in the trees (which is difficult to get to).

All sheep I could see clearly looked healthy and the 3 gates were all fine.

All 44 counted and no problems. Mostly in the open area at the foot of the Down and in the eastern valley.  Fence and troughs fine.
