If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure: Call the office on 01489 774400. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly. NOTES: Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call. If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed. Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact. Thank you!

Monday 7th October

Only 35 sheep found the rest must be in the centre bowl which is hard to get into.

Of the 35, 15 Shetlands came to me when I called them for Sheep Nuts, the other 20 were in the bushes towards that central bowl but I didn't see the limper (or they have stopped limping).

There are signs that the sheep had been in the South West part off the compartment but none were there this morning.

Sheep Nuts are low (only about 1.5 margarine tubs left, with only 15 sheep I only used 0.5 tub) but water trough was fine.

Wednesday 19th August

All 44 counted in this morning, all seem quite happy. Found on the upper and middle slopes in one group. Fence and water troughs ok.
