The purpose of this blog is: For lookers to post a record of their livestock checks. To act as a formal record of livestock wellbeing and welfare checks. For lookers to access up-to-date information on livestock and site status, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure: Call the office on 01489 774400. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly. NOTES: Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call. If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed. Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact. Thank you!

Tuesday 13 aug
All 50 present in the western edge woodland. One wfw appears not to be able to stand on his left foreleg, photos attached. As instructed I didn't approach. I could not get in a position to see an ear tag let alone get the number but did have a red mark on his neck, although if it is blackberry juice that won't help find him! All photos are of the same animal. All the rest looked in fine fettle, I'm fact they seemed peckish this morning. Water and food ok. Gates ok although I haven't checked the top ones leading in to the footpath. No visitors so far. Guy
