We only found 35! The 35 all looked very happy and healthy
so hopefully their 4 missing friends are equally happy in the undergrowth. Pippa Clare Davies & Rebecca Mackay went together so Clare could show Rebecca what to do
The purpose of this blog is: For lookers to post a record of their livestock checks. To act as a formal record of livestock wellbeing and welfare checks. For lookers to access up-to-date information on livestock and site status, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

All 39 sheep present and look healthy.
One (longhorn) came about 5 minutes after the others, i checked if it was limping but it
was walking okay.
Checked ballcock on water and it was working, no problems noticed on perimeter fences.
All 39 sheep came to the food , all appeared to be in good health.
No walkers or dogs. No issues noted to fences or gates.
We went up to the Down this morning before the rain became too heavy. No issues noted although not surprisingly because of the weather met no walkers or dogs. The sheep were all sheltering under the tress in the eastern compartment and appeared fine. We cleared the brambles and clematis from around gate No 15 which is operating satisfactorily now. No other problems noted to gates or fences, although two things we noted:
1. There is on old 5 bar gate lying in front of the gate no 8 between the eastern and central compartment
2. A tree has come down on the steep bank outside the eastern compartment - up the hill from gate No 15 , it appears to have fallen onto the fence. Dave & Carys Whitehouse
Hot sunny day. Silver fritillary & other butterflies aplenty. 39 hot sheep counted. One WFW limping - see video. Had help counting from my assistant Daniel 😎
Sheep all there. No problems to report. No dog walkers Pippa pp Keith & Sue Stevens
All 39 sheep found sheltering from the rain in the trees adjacent to the feed bin, so counting them was straightforward.
No problems noted, plenty of food and water trough full.
No dog walkers nor anyone else on the Down which was not surprising given the weather!
Could only find 30 sheep other 9 must have been dozing as we went first thing this morning. Trough fine & no one else around. Pippa pp. Rebecca McKay
All well today. 2 or 3 Whiteface Woodlands coughed a bit after running but this soon subsided. Water trough full. Gates OK. No walkers. Pippa pp Tim Evans
All sheep accounted for but no sheep nuts left. Trough good, no dog walkers. Pippa pp. Tim & Emma Powell
